Ugly Mountain play a raw, fuzzed-out psych that blends elements of folk, doom and surf. My favorite track off of their most recent record has to be the grooving closer คำสัญญา. The band is currently working on its third record.

Needle in the hay.

4. What are some of your biggest influences outside of music?

Maya Darren’s films.

5. Tell us about your favorite show you ever played.

In a small bar, in Chiangmai, Thailand. We played our very first gig one night and a group of audiences put on a dance performance and broke some beer bottle. Also there was one punk rocker who seemed sincerely satisfied.
